Ancient Empires

Ancient Empires, the classic game of building an Empire in the mists of time.

With the building blocks of an economy, Craft, Metal & Money you can build villages and by setting the ration level above normal, you can make it a nice place to settle.

With your population growing, you can expand your Industrial base to include research into better arms and technology. Taxes can be raised and food storage created.

It is a desperate time, and your interests will have to be protected, so fortifications will be needed, and the men to stand guard. In Ancient Empires you can recruit as many men into the ranks of the Army as you like, but every man taken from the workshops, fields and forests reduces your production, until you can attract more villagers to your colours. The balance between ploughshares and swords, as a working feature of the game. Of course you have to feed your growing population and Army, or they will look to others to provide the basics of life.

Expansion is the way forward, and with your craft economy and ever more de3adly weapons, you can easily engulf nearby villages, bur beware, there are others who covet what you have achieved, and are building as we speak.

This is just a taste of the adventure in Ancient Empires.

Hints and Tips

Ancient Empires
The classic game revisited with a new economic system and generic armies, with skill, experience and morale levels.

The new game is much more in depth, with several village settings such as ration level & tax level which are controlled by you, and other settings like weather, and civil unrest.

Each military unit represents 100 men, armed with a variety of weapons depending on the time scale in the game and available resources.

There are a number of different classes of troops and support units available including:

Infantry

Cavalry

Missile

Medical

Engineering

Command

Naval

Each of these unit types can be grouped to become an Army or Fleet, who can gain training, morale and experience bonuses as they fight battles and train.

There are a number of different Technology Advance Levels, which give you more advanced weapons, greater production, and more facilities to add to you villages.

Natural resources are harnessed to give you the building blocks of a nation. Craft, Metal, horses, Boat Craft, Money and Knowledge are the commodities which you use to build your strength.

Food and metal availability are dependant upon the terrain.
Hills are good for metal, but not good for hunting. Plains and woods are good for hunting but metal is scarce. The battle for resources will be key to your survival.

Villages grow during the course of the game, and can be fortified.

Your rivals of course are “out there” building and waiting for their chance.
